This partnership means that you can travel with your pet with confidence that you're protected!
BC SPCA adopters of microchipped/tattooed rabbits have the option of registering their animal in BC Pet Registry (first year registration is free).
The BC Pet Registry is the only provincial pet identification registry in British Columbia.
Our mission is to protect and enhance the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in BC. If you adopt from the BC SPCA, your pet will be microchipped and we will charge the cost of microchipping and a lifetime registration at the time of adoption.
If you haven’t adopted from the BC SPCA and still want to register your pet’s microchip on BC Pet Registry it’s easy: simply go to our website create an account with your personal information and unique chip ID - you choose the registration fee.
While you are registered with BC Pet Registry, you can update your account as often as you like!
We recommend that if you move, change your phone number, etc. Should your pet ever be lost, this information is crucial in returning your pet home to you.
If your pet is already under anesthesia for a procedure, such as neutering or spaying, the microchip can often be implanted while they're still under anesthesia.
Source: At this time, registration is mandatory for canines and felines.
The BC SPCA and BC Pet Registry do not sell or share information.
The only information that is shared with participating organizations is information on how to contact you in the event your pet is lost.
Thus ensuring that your animal gets home faster than ever before.
